We’re committed to keeping that space safe and secure for you, and that starts with transparency. This Policy explains what data we collect when you use the App, how it is stored, how we use it, and how and if we may disclose any part of it. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and that you consent to it in full. If you do not consent to the Policy, you may not access or use the App.
Inkjar is not intended for children under 13 years old.
The App is intended for use by residents of the United States only. We do not knowingly offer the service to individuals located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions where additional data protection laws apply.

We collect limited personal information that you provide to us voluntarily, such as your email address. We strive to minimize the collection of personal information wherever possible, while ensuring that the App is still able to function properly.
2.2 Content you upload
When you upload content such as quotations or personal notes to the app, we store this information so that we may provide it to you within the App and ensure its functionality.
2.3 Usage information
We may automatically collect certain data about your use of the App, including your device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and usage statistics. This information helps us improve the App’s performance and functionality.
3.1 Providing services in the App
We use your information to provide you with the services and features of the App, including saving, tagging, and viewing quotes or other text. We may process your information so you can create and log into your account, as well as to keep your account in working order.
3.2 Personalization
We may use your information to personalize your App experience, potentially including tailored insights, recommendations, and notifications based on how you use the app.
3.3 Communication
We may use your email address to send you important updates, announcements, and relevant information about the App. You can opt out of receiving non-essential emails.
3.4 Aggregated data

We do not sell or share personal information as defined under California law.

4.1 Supabase
We store your account data and uploaded content via Supabase. Supabase, Inc. has access to your personal information only as necessary to perform its functions and is obligated to maintain its confidentiality in accordance with its privacy policy. Supabase may store your data on servers operated by Amazon Web Services.
4.2 Sentry
We may collect certain usage information via Functional Software, Inc. (DBA Sentry) in order to ensure the functionality of the App. Sentry is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of this information in accordance with its privacy policy.
4.3 Resend
We may share certain data including your email address with Plus Five Five, Inc. (DBA Resend) in order to facilitate the delivery of login codes and other emails related to the App to you. Resend is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of this information in accordance with its privacy policy.
4.4 Special circumstances
We may be required by law to disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal processes. We may also do so if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights or safety, or investigate fraud. Additionally, if we go through a merger, acquisition, or other business transition, your data may be included in the assets transferred.
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Our servers are located in the United States. The App is not intended for use in other countries or jurisdictions.
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.1 Opt out
You can choose not to provide us with your personal information or opt out of receiving non-essential communications from us. However, please note that opting out may limit your access to certain features of the App.
7.2 Access and correction
You may request access to or correction of your personal information. You can review and modify your information within the App or by contacting us at hello@inkjar.app.
7.3 Deletion requests
You may request deletion of your information and account by contacting us at hello@inkjar.app. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your request, subject to legal and operational requirements.
From time to time we may update this Policy. We will notify you of any such updates via email or in the App, and by changing the effective date of this Policy, but it is your responsibility to stay informed of updates by regularly reviewing the Policy. By continuing to use the app after the effective date of an updated version of the Policy, you indicate that you have agreed to the Policy as modified.
